As known, Turkey is a country with many different cultures because of her geographic position and rich history which means a very rich folklore. We have a lot of folk dances regions which are performed with very different kinds of instruments. Anatolian Folk-Art Activities Center (ASEM), is a Folklore Organization in Turkey.
ASEM, was founded in 1998 to carry out activities in the following fields;
- To give folk dance and folk music courses to people from all ages,
- To organize festivals and seminars in Turkey and abroad,
- To organize groups from Turkey and other countries for festivals in Turkey and abroad
- To organize entertainments inTurkey and abroad.
- To research the folk dances, folk music, food, costumes, folk literature of different regions of Turkey,
- To work on EU-Youth Programmes with the young people of the EU countries.
- etc.
ASEM, has managed so many events both in Turkey and abroad since 1998. The most important organizations we managed are:

- Mamak International Folkdance Festival (2007)
